SERVICING TIPS
Drive your car on safe roads as per vehicle specifications.
ENGINE OIL TIPS
1.Before checking the oil, ensure you have parked your vehicle on a level surface.
2.Turn off the engine, wait 5 minutes and, minding the heat, check the oil inside the engine compartment and the fan.
3.Do not touch the basin cap if the engine is still hot.
4.Do not add oil with features that are different from those already in the engine
5.Visit your nearest FCA dealership for correct oil replacement and disposal.
BATTERY TIPS
1.Caution: battery liquid is corrosive and poisonous, so avoid contact with your skin.
2.Note: if the liquid level in your vehicle is too low, it can damage the battery.
3.If your vehicle is not in use for a long period of time, remove the battery and keep it in a closed, warm place.
4.Visit your nearest FCA Dealership for assistance with a safe environment-friendly battery replacement.
5.You can prolong your battery’s life with these handy tips: ensure the doors and bonnet are firmly closed when you park and all the lights are off. Also remember not to leave the radio and/or emergency lights on for a long time when the engine is off.
FRONT AND REAR WINDOW WIPER TIPS
1.To maintain your wipers performance, keep the rubber blade clean and replace them at least once a year or when the rubber is damaged or worn.
2.In low temperatures, ensure ice is not blocking the rubber part on the glass so the cold temperature does not damage your blades. Remove any ice build up on the window itself without using the wipers.
3.Ensure that there is always fluid in the sprayer tank and that the holes are not blocked.
WHEELS AND TYRES TIPS
1.Check your tyre pressure, including the spare, when your vehicle is not in use and the tyre temperature is low.
2.Interval checks are advised: every two weeks and always prior to long trips.
3.Remember that your car’s road grip depends on the tyre pressure: if it is too low, it can make the tyres overheat and ultimately damage them
VEHICLE BODY PANEL TIPS
1.Should your vehicle be dented or scratched, have your vehicle re-sprayed at an FCA approved Auto body shop to prevent rust from developing
2.If you often drive on roads in coastal areas, or roads that are heavily polluted, wash your car frequently to maintain the body as best as possible.
3.Always check that there are no puddles under the mats, remove dust from the fabric with a damp brush or use a vacuum cleaner.
4.Clean the seats with a sponge soaked in water and a neutral detergent.
